Cuvaison Estate Wines Grand Opening of Remodeled Tasting Rooms

Cuvaison Estate Wines
Hello everyone,
Here is some ‘breaking news’ news about the historic, under-the-radar Napa Valley winery, Cuvaison.
This certified sustainable winery now has two brand new tasting rooms that are ‘green’, stylish, distinctly different and are situated at opposite ends of the Napa Valley. On one end, Calistoga is a classic with its inviting space and tree-shaded picnic grounds on the Silverado Trail and on the other, Carneros intoxicates with sustainably farmed estate vineyard views and a tasting room design that completely blurs the distinction between indoors and out. Beautiful, green architectural designs, gorgeous reclaimed cedar & redwood, designs honors both locations.
The grand opening will feature Cuvaison’s outstanding estate wines, great food, fresh green architectural designs and wine games. Winemaker Steve Rogstad will participate in the event and would be delighted to chat with you.

Napa Valley Winery Tours – Experience the Best
Napa Valley is not only a county of California, but the wines it produces are so unique and of such high quality that it has also been named an AVA, or American Viticulture Area. This means that, like Champagne, wines that claim to be a Napa wine must actually be made in this area, and nowhere else in the world has wine quite like it. It is consistently rated one of the top winery regions in California, not to mention the United States as a whole. In this article, we’ll take a look at three popular types of Napa Valley winery tours, so that you can enhance your palate while relaxing in the natural beauty of the valley itself.
The Hess Collection Winery is one of the finest of the Napa Valley winery tours, and offers discounted rates on wine tasting and food pairing during certain hours of the day. The mountainous region has a rich Mediterranean climate, which is perfect for growing wine grapes, and many wineries have sprung up there within the last hundred years.

Wine Storage - Napa California
Arguably the most comprehensive of the Napa Valley winery tours is the Wine Country Tour Shuttle service. This touring company visits all of the premier Napa Valley wineries, including a picnic lunch, stops at four wineries and then a ride across the Golden Gate Bridge into San Francisco, making it the perfect way to end the trip if you are flying out of or live in San Francisco itself. The four wineries included are Domaine Chandon, which creates sparkling wine, V. Sattui, Andretti Winery, and the Flora Springs Winery. The picnic lunch includes cheese, sausage, and olive plates, as well as meat and vegetarian sandwiches, as well as a variety of refreshments. The tour even includes basic information on wine tasting, and several guides that can give you a variety of information on specific wineries and wines in the area.
There are even custom Napa Valley winery tours that can take you to several locations of your choice, should you have a special interest in certain wine or wineries. In order to best enhance your experience, there are a variety of restaurants (including a restaurant on a train!) that will provide you with wines from the local wineries, and many wineries will provide complimentary tasting with a discount on selected reserves during certain times of day, or even certain times of the year.
Fabulous Napa Valley Hotels
There are a great variety of Napa Valley hotels, from bed and breakfasts to traditional French countryside inns. If you’re planning a trip to wine country and are looking for somewhere to stay, whether your focus is on luxury or proximity to the wineries you’ll be visiting, there is sure to be something to suit your taste. In this article, we’ll take a look at a few popular hotels in Napa Valley, as well as some of the things you can expect from your stay there.
One of the most popular Napa Valley hotels is the Old World Inn, which was featured in Oprah Magazine and has been enjoyed by travelers since 1906. Over the last hundred years, the Old World Inn hasn’t changed much in terms of charm and appearance, although the amenities are perfectly modern. Two things that haven’t changed, and the two things that are the mainstay of many Napa Valley hotels, are the quality of the food (which is, of course, superb) and the friendliness with which everyone is treated. There are freshly-baked cookies for guests at check-in, and wine and cheese tasting at five in the evening, and of course a dining hall for dinners and breakfast served every morning.

The Inn at Southbridge is another of the high quality Napa Valley hotels, and is located on Main Street in the historic town of St. Helena, which is in the heart of the Napa Valley American Viticulture Area, or AVA, that makes up the wine grape-growing area. There is within walking distance of the Inn at Southbridge wine tasting, fine dining, gourmet markets, galleries and boutiques, as well as opportunities for countryside cycling, hiking, and picnicking settings. The inn is equipped with all the modern amenities you would expect from a luxury hotel in California’s wine country.
One of the most luxurious of the Napa Valley hotels you might see is Lavender, an inn created in the traditional French countryside manner. It is meant to emulate the travelers’ inns seen in Provence, but is equipped with luxury amenities not found at most of them. It features a large garden and wraparound porch, so that relaxation can be had in a number of ways, and has four separate buildings, each with their own unique features. The garden is home to games of boule, a French version of the Italian game bocce, and the staff is friendly and professional.
Workers Tending Vineyards in Napa Valley
This Napa Valley image of the week comes from one of my favorite photographers, Ah Zut. Here we see a few vineyard workers tending to the grape vines. At this time of year they will be trimming back early growth as well as securing vines to their posts and wire guides. Notice how tall the wild mustard has become in only a couple of weeks.
As I’ve stated so many times, any time is a great time to visit Napa Valley. Come on up this weekend, savor the views and enjoy some great wine. It’s absolutely spectacular. For now, enjoy!

Napa Valley Trip Ideas – Relaxation vs. Excitement
There are lots of different kinds of vacations people want to take, and these are based on personal tastes, funds, and family situations. Depending on various factors, one given family might want to experience something very different than another, and therefore they choose different destinations. However, the Napa Valley area of California, famous for its wine and natural beauty, offers an array of options that are sure to please virtually anyone looking for a few days of vacation. In this article, we’ll take a look at some popular Napa valley trip ideas, from the most relaxing to the most exhilarating.
Possibly the most popular of Napa Valley trip ideas, and the most overly relaxing experience you’re likely to have, is a leisurely stay at a bed and breakfast while taking wine tasting tours. Most Napa Valley bed and breakfasts are designed to make you as comfortable as possible, with swimming pools and gardens, and are within driving distance to dozens of some of the best wineries in the country. Days can be finished off with fine dining at a number of country restaurants, or even at the inns themselves, which generally feature authentic, traditional cuisine.

Hot Air Balloon Over Napa - Boltty Studios
Other popular Napa Valley trip ideas include staying at downtown areas like that of St. Helena, which has boutiques, restaurants, and historic sites such as the Napa Valley Mill for those who are interested. Wine tours are still available, and there are a number of outdoor recreational activities like hiking, mountain biking, camping, and picnicking that are sure to please those that want to vacation a little more adventurously. There are even a few restaurants that are aboard trains, for a unique gourmet dining experience that is not likely to be forgotten.
Perhaps the most exciting of the Napa Valley trip ideas is a combination of outdoor recreation and one of the most popular ways to see Napa Valley itself – hot air ballooning. Soaring through the sky above the beautiful Napa Valley countryside is an exhilarating experience, and entire days can be passed simply floating along, pointing out individual structures and wineries. It is not uncommon to see several balloons floating across the sky, and many are available at surprisingly affordable prices. There are even a few rivers that pass through Napa Valley for rafting and boating. Should visitors want a little nightlife, the downtown areas of several cities like San Francisco are not far away.

Napa Valley Wine Tasting – Unique and Decadent
Napa Valley is not only renowned for its natural beauty and lovely climate, but for its unique and flavorful wines as well. In fact, that temperate, Mediterranean climate makes Napa Valley ideal for growing some of the finest wine grapes in California, not to mention the entire country. The wine here is so fantastic that Napa Valley attracts roughly five million visitors every year, which makes it the second most popular tourism destination in California (second only to Disneyland). If you’re looking for a uniquely beautiful part of the country to visit, and to experience first-hand some Napa Valley wine tasting, then you’ve come to the right place.
Napa Valley wine tasting is a popular past time, not only because it features some of the best wine produced in the country, but also because it fits the easygoing lifestyle that Napa Valley has come to be known for. There are various country inns scattered around the county, each of them offering a slightly different look and feel, all of them centered on comfort and relaxation. There are plenty of things to do should the wine tasting wear off, or in case you have kids with you, such as outdoor activities like mountain biking, camping, hiking, and even hot air ballooning.

There are several different ways to experience Napa Valley wine tasting, such as by tours that shuttle you to up to four wineries in a single day, or with a train ride from one winery to another, and a gourmet meal included. Some wineries even have inns attached, so that you can hop from one to another, staying a single night at each, and experiencing the different wines and aspects of the countryside in their own unique way. Many of the countryside inns also have a selection of local wines, so that even if you aren’t staying at an actual winery, you can still enjoy its selection and many others.
Napa Valley wine tasting is one of the best ways to become knowledgeable about the wine California produces, since many tours will offer basic information on both wine tasting and the production of wine, and guides at individual wineries can give you very detailed information on the process and flavor behind their wines. Whether you’re a connoisseur or someone who just enjoys the taste and wants to learn more, Napa Valley wine tasting is an experience that you aren’t likely to forget.
